Komet Analytics will change your business
Originally published Thursday, Mar 11, 2021
It's 2021 and making decisions based on gut feelings or past experiences with no data driving the decisions is a risky proposition. Why? Well, to get started there's just too many variables that change constantly: sales prices, product availability, product costs, freight costs, payments, etc.
Customers that use Komet Sales capture a ton of data by simply processing their day to day transactions in the system. However, that data that's stored as individual transactions does not provide any insights to users so that they can make better decisions. We've had the ability to export pretty much every data set from the system into Excel, and this is OK, but it's not very efficient since you end up downloading "raw" data that you then have to massage in order to find the answers that you're looking for. This is time consuming, requires advanced knowledge of Excel and is very repetitive (every time that you want to do the same analysis you'll have to do the same steps all over again).
This is where Komet Analytics comes into play: we've created 100+ reports that are broken down into the following categories:
- Accounts Receivable
- Credits Analysis
- Sales Analysis
- Prebook Orders
- Standing Orders
- Ranking Reports
Once Komet Analytics is activated on your account all of these reports will be immediately enabled and are ready to run with the click of a button. They're blazing fast, easy to read and provide user friendly filters to quickly change date ranges, categories, products, sales people, vendors, customers, etc. We've also added some embedded dashboards that can be opened directly from within the Komet Sales application providing context sensitive information right then and there.
In addition to this we've created a simple way for system admins to manage granular access controls for each report for each user so that you can share the right information with the right teams.
It's been really fun talking with customers that have discovered insights by looking at the data during a demo session. These "aha" moments are exactly what we're aiming to provide to our customers so that they can quickly identify trends, issues or opportunities.
So the bottom line is this: are you and your company using your business data to make decisions? If not, then what are you waiting for? We're ready to help you take your business to the next level with these new set of tools. Just let us know and we'll get you started.
