4 Reasons Why You Should Be Using Future Sales
Originally published Wednesday, Dec 28, 2016
First of all, let’s begin by saying that Future Sales is a powerful tool that integrates the procurement and sales department in a crazy efficient way! If you’re not using Future Sales yet, you should really start now. Why? Here are 4 powerful reasons to start doing so:
1. Avoid over purchasing products
Hasn’t it ever happened to you that you make a purchase and then, almost immediately, someone in the sales team sends a requirement for that same product? To avoid over-purchasing, when you use Future Sales, the sales team is able to see what products are due to come in. This way, they won’t have to place a separate requirement for the product that is already underway.
2. Improve sales department performance
I‘m sure you can already tell where this is going. Well, if they can see incoming merchandise…Yes! You guessed! They can sell it as well! The system will allow the Sales Team to sell or allocate the inventory to a customer, and setup shipping dates based on that future availability.
3. Zero current stock waste
Obviously the sales team is going to want to sell only the freshest products to their customers but with the Hold On Confirm option we will help you prevent any waste of products on-hand. When it is enabled, it will hide any incoming inventory. This way, when you already have a specific reference in stock, you can make Future Sales invisible until you run out of existing inventory.
4. Price changes
A second setting called Final Price Behavior allows you to set up the Future Sales purchases to come in with the Purchase Order price or with a new price to adjust to any market fluctuations. A specific price list can also become the designated pricing for the future availability.
Now you know why you should use Future Sales and integrate it in your daily activities.
